Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the Balearics.

We never got to a marina in Palma de Mallorca, as those exceed the limits of how much we can spend on a night at the dock.Instead, we left the boat in Port d'Andratx where we paid 15€ for a sturdy mooring buoy, and spent 6€ on bus tickets per person to go visit Palma de Mallorca for a day. The first view we got of the city was its impressive Cathedral, as well as an enormous crowd of cruise ship tourists. In spite of Ryan's triggered agoraphobia, we spent a lovely day exploring the capital of the Balearics.Palma's impressive cathedral: Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca.View of the royal palace and the "Arc de la Drassana", estimated to be built in the 10th century, during the first period of Muslim rule in Mallorca. At some point, I will have to get a wide-angle lense. Mine wasn't sufficient to capture the entirety of the "Consell de Mallorca". Atmosphere in the streets of Palma de Mallorca...How cute are those shops and cafés?! Placa Major, at the heart of Palma de MallorcaWe took the bus back to the boat, our hearts buzzing with the beat of this vibrant city!
